  1. Don’t commit too early to a return to work date following parental leave

  2. Follow your gut and intuition when planning to return to work after a parental leave

  3. Prioritize your mental and physical health

  4. Find 1:1 time with your children each week

  5. Embrace the ability to adapt and pivot as needed
